Our new class of nurse anesthetists are ready to go for the first week of their three-year program!

Over the next 36 months, these students will put in thousands of hours of simulation time, coursework and clinicals, learning everything necessary to do their jobs at the highest level. They'll graduate from one of only four DNP nurse anesthesia programs in Wisconsin. They will leave an indelible mark on their faculty as well as their patients.

Let the journey begin!

We told you we’d have video of the nursing staff escape room! 👀

Our staff members had to solve a puzzle to “escape the simulation lab,” but they could only do it by performing some of the skills nursing students learn on our high-fidelity mannequins.

Nurses, how did they do? 🤔

Some smiles + A lot of learning + A little bit of laughter = A great welcome back to campus for our faculty and staff!

Thanks so much to our faculty and staff for kicking the 2026-27 academic year off on the right foot. We're ready for the students to show up on Monday!

Dr. Abiola Keller, associate professor and associate dean for research, was selected as a member of the 2026 cohort of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Wharton Executive Leadership Program.

This three-day program is taught by Wharton faculty and is designed to advance academic nursing officers to higher levels of leadership.

Abiola has spent more than a decade with our college, greatly aiding our community-engaged research efforts among numerous other accomplishments. We look forward to learning from her experience in this program!
