School's back in session and the "CHA offseason" is in full effect! 🎒

65% of the CHA 2025 scholars chose Murray State as their home and are back on campus for more Murray fun. 🐴💞

The crew gathered with other Racer CHAlums to rekindle connections from 2025 and make new connections with other CHA scholars on campus. 🍕🍕🍕

The CHA deans are busy visiting high schools, making new buttons, flyers, and sharing plenty of CHA SWAG. 👟

The Murray State campus is busy and the CHA family is reuniting, thriving, and planning for CHA 2027.

Be sure to watch until the end (sound on) for lots of shout outs from a CHA 2025 scholar who has returned to Murray State! 💬💬💬

The forecast this week says it's going to be crazy hot, so we've decided to move the party indoors (and avoid open flames on the quad).

Please join us any time between 4:30 and 6:30 on the lowest level of Lowery Hall (next to Pogue Library). We'll have pizza and drinks, plus some fun giveaways!

📝 Attention future CHA Scholars!
You need standardized test scores to apply for CHA this year. To get those scores on your application in time, you'll need to take a test this fall semester.

Here's what you need to know before you apply:

✅ A minimum ACT score of 23 (or equivalent) is required to apply for the Commonwealth Honors Academy
✅ A score of 25 (or equivalent) is recommended to be competitive for the program
✅ That same 25 ACT (or equivalent) is required for the Murray State scholarship after graduation
✅ Applications open December 1st and are due March 1st — mark your calendars 🗓️

⚠️ A standardized test score is a NEW requirement this year. If your older sibling/cousin/friend told you scores weren't needed... they were right at the time, but things have changed! Time to prove them wrong and start prepping. 😅

📌 Fine print: Test scores are just one part of the application. GPA requirements, letters of recommendation, and other components are also part of the process. Applications are reviewed holistically for many student qualities. 📚✨
