Give back, get involved, and connect with LGBTQ+ communities across New York City! 🫂🏙️ Throughout the academic year, the LGBTQ+ Center will host monthly service opportunities for all NYU students to support LGBTQ+-focused organizations and community initiatives through hands-on service.
In recognition of Transgender Awareness Month, we’ll be volunteering with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, a legal organization that works to ensure all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence. We’ll spend the afternoon organizing and processing legal correspondence for their Prisoner Justice Project, assembling hygiene kits, and assisting with other essential operational tasks.
All students are invited to join us and help make a difference!
