We're already halfway through our first year together!?

Since beginning our four-year term in January, the Board of Trustees has been focused on strengthening the foundation for our future while supporting the day-to-day work of the Hermandad.

So far, we've:
❤️ Onboarded the Interim National Operations Team
💛 Supported the recruitment of our inaugural Executive C-Suite
💙Launched a monthly newsletter and this Q&A Friday series
❤️ Led Convention planning (do you have your ticket yet?)
💛 Expanded opportunities for members to get involved and lead
💙 Begun laying the groundwork for our next Strategic Plan

Now it's your turn to help us shape what comes next.

So glad to receive this question—because we're recruiting!

The Parliamentarian is an important resource for our leadership team.

She helps interpret Robert's Rules of Order and ensures our meetings and decisions are conducted fairly, consistently, and in alignment with our governing documents.

She also supports chapter Parliamentarians to help build a culture of good governance across the Hermandad.

This opportunity may be a great fit for an Hermana who:

💛 Has experience serving in chapter or regional leadership

💙 Values fairness and enjoys helping teams work well together

Leadership happens at every level in 𝚺𝚰𝚨.

If you come across a cause, need, or campaign that reflects our values, your first thought might be, "National should do something about this."

But your chapter may be the perfect place to start.

Chapters have the opportunity to respond to needs in their communities and champion causes that matter to them.

National leadership doesn't have to lead every initiative for our organization to make an impact.

We're here to help you think through ideas, provide guidance, share resources, and amplify your efforts.

A few types of initiatives require national review before moving forward:

❤️ Initiatives related to partisan politics or potentially divisive public issues

💛 Public statements made on behalf of 𝚺𝚰𝚨 (rather than a chapter or region)

💙 Partnerships, sponsorships, or agreements that require financial, legal, or organizational commitments

Yes, Hermana! You should attend New Member Orientation.

New Member Orientation was created to help Hermanas transition into active membership and build a strong foundation for lifelong sisterhood, leadership, and service.

Throughout the day, Hermanas will learn about:

🌹 Chapter and national leadership opportunities
🌹 The membership process and our organizational history
🌹 Meeting expectations and chapter operations

There will also be opportunities for questions and discussion

All active Hermanas are welcome.
