In observance of Labor Day, the Office of International Education will be closed on Monday, September 7.
We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8.

Need a ride between Peralta campuses? Check out the Peralta Shuttle Bus Service connecting Laney College, College of Alameda, Berkeley City College, and Merritt College!

📍 Laney College is the main hub.

📢 Great news! The shuttle service is now also available to Peralta faculty and staff. A valid Peralta employee ID badge must be shown when boarding.

September 7 is the last day to drop Fall 2026 regular session classes and receive a refund.

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS: Drops are not automatic. Students are responsible for dropping classes they are no longer attending.
Fees apply for classes dropped after 9/7!

🌎 F-1 International Students: Please be especially careful before dropping a class. You must maintain at least 12 units (full-time enrollment) to maintain your F-1 status.

We at Peralta International Students are incredibly grateful to Berkeley Mayor Mayor Adena Ishii for taking the time to personally welcome our international students to the Peralta Colleges, Berkeley, and our community!

Mayor Ishii recognizes the tremendous courage it takes to leave home, navigate the visa process, adjust to a different culture, and pursue an education in a new country and a new city.
