As we were digging through the archives, we came across these photos from back in the day. Some things have changed since then—equipment has been upgraded, programs have expanded, and new students have walked through our doors—but one thing has remained the same:

🎓 Every picture tells a story.

Behind every lab, every classroom activity, every certification earned, every clinical hour completed, and every skill mastered is a student who chose to invest in themselves and their future.

Over the past several months, our students have faced challenges, learned new skills, pushed beyond their comfort zones, and worked tirelessly toward their goals. Some balanced school with full-time jobs. Some juggled family responsibilities. Others returned to the classroom after years away from education. Each journey was different, but they all shared one thing in common: determination.

This video captures only a small glimpse of what happens here at Marion Technical College. It showcases just some of the hard work, dedication, perseverance, and growth of the students who walk through our doors with a dream and leave with the skills and confidence to pursue it.

To our graduates: Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We are proud of your accomplishments, inspired by your resilience, and excited to see where your future takes you.

🌟 MTC--Champions 🌟

This week, Marion Technical College proudly sent one of our very best to the national stage!

Please join us in congratulating Zack Barrera as he travels to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference. Zack will represent MTC in the Job Skills Demonstration competition, where he will showcase his talents against some of the top career and technical education students from across the United States.

What makes this achievement even more impressive is that this marks Zack's second consecutive year competing at the national level—an accomplishment that speaks volumes about his dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence.

Accompanying Zack is one of our awesome instructors, Suhad Haddad, from our Radiology Program, who will provide guidance and support on this incredible journey.

Competing at the national level is a tremendous achievement and reflects the hard work and determination Zack has demonstrated throughout his journey at MTC. Representing your school once is an honor. Earning the opportunity to return to Nationals for a second year is truly something special.

Please join us in wishing Zack and Ms. Haddad safe travels, a rewarding experience, and the very best of luck as they represent Marion Technical College on the national stage!

✅ Just Plain Awesome... CHECK!

A huge thank you to Conrad Tree Service for their generous donation of two diesel engines to support Marion Technical College's new Diesel Technician Program. Donations like these provide our students with valuable hands-on training opportunities using real-world equipment.

But the story doesn't stop there.

Our talented students in Jason Kain's Welding Program took the project a step further by designing and fabricating engine stands for the donated engines. This collaboration between programs showcases exactly what Career & Technical Education is all about—students applying their skills, working together, and creating solutions that benefit future learners.

When local industry partners and MTC programs come together, great things happen. Our students gain experience, our programs grow stronger, and our community helps build the workforce of tomorrow.
