On Saturday, August 22, thousands came together at the University of San Diego to celebrate the power of books to inform, inspire and connect.
More than 12,000 book lovers filled campus for the second annual KPBS San Diego Book Festival, which featured 145 authors, 11 booksellers, 37 panels, live performances and family programming.
As presenting sponsor, USD's involvement reflects a deep belief in the importance of reading and the humanities, and in literature's power to bring people into conversation with one another.
"Reading is critical to education, and USD is always proud to emphasize that," said Noelle Norton, PhD, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this year! 📖
