SOUTHFIELD — The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Sigma Delta Lambda Chapter, also known as the Southfield Alphas, launched a new service partnership with Angels’ Place on July 11.

On July 21, 2012, eight men saw fit for the vision of Alpha to stretch to Southfield, Michigan.

Bound together by a shared commitment to Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind, these Brothers laid the foundation for what would become the Sigma Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Fourteen years later, that vision continues.

Through service to our community, mentorship of the next generation, scholarship, advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to the ideals of Alpha, Sigma Delta Lambda continues to stand as a beacon of leadership and brotherhood throughout Southfield and beyond.

Today, we honor the eight visionary charter members who planted the seed, every Brother who has carried the torch, and the legacy that we continue to build together.

14 years. One vision. One brotherhood. A legacy still being written.

On July 18, the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.® – Sigma Delta Lambda Chapter proudly came together to clean and officially reveal the sign for our newly adopted stretch of road on Greenfield Road, between 9 Mile Road and Foster Winter Drive! We look forward to continuing to roll up our sleeves, serve with purpose, and make a lasting impact right here in Southfield. 🤙🏾❄️
