Meet Dr. Apollon
Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Baptist Hospital and a dedicated advocate for Black maternal health.
A Harvard graduate and University of Pennsylvania-trained physician, Dr. Apollon completed her OB/GYN residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital before relocating to Miami in 2003.
In 2024, she became the first Black woman to serve as Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Baptist Hospital. She continues to champion maternal health equity through community initiatives, education, and clinical leadership.
Dr. Apollon also serves on the FIU Black Mothers Care Plan Board, supporting efforts to address Black maternal health disparities and advance equitable care. 🖤
