10-Year Anniversary & Holiday Celebration!

Join us for a special celebration co-hosted by Cal Lutheran's Autism and Communication Center (ACC) and Dream Community Center!
We're celebrating 10 years of service to the local and international autism communitythrough the Autism and Communication Center, along with a festive holiday gathering showcasing the incredible creativity and talents of Dream Community Center's Dreamers.
Come celebrate a decade of community, connection, advocacy, and inclusion while enjoying inspiring presentations, live music, and interactive activities!

11:00 AM | Thriving as an Autistic Adult: Quality of Life Insights from Research and Lived Experiences
Join Dr. Peña and participants from the Dream Team day program for an engaging presentation exploring research and autistic perspectives on the factors that contribute to a fulfilling and meaningful life for neurodivergent adults. Back by popular demand! This presentation was a highlight of the recent Spellers Conference in San Diego. If you missed it, here's your chance to experience this insightful and inspiring conversation!

Celebrate the holiday season with musical performances showcasing the creativity and talents of our Dreamers!

1:30–2:30 PM | Community Drum Circle
Wrap up the celebration with an interactive, outdoor drum circle! Come together through rhythm, music, and shared expression.

What a wonderful way to wrap up the spring semester! 🌸 We had six families join us for our final ACC social before summer hits. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this semester so special. We’re grateful for our amazing community and look forward to seeing everyone back in the fall! 💛

Led by Katie Anawalt, MS, CCC-SLP, ATS, an RPM-L4 practitioner , this workshop offers individualized sessions for students, with the opportunity for practitioners and/or communication partners to participate for valuable feedback and coaching.

🕘 Sessions available from 9:00 AM – 4:40 PM
⏱️ 55-minute individual sessions

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain personalized support, coaching, and expert guidance in RPM practice.

Our socials provide students with an encouraging and engaging environment in which to practice their typing, pointing, and spelling skills alongside their peers. Participants are to bring their own communication tools (e.g. alphabet stencils, letter boards, iPads, etc.) and communication partner.

The next In-person social will take place at 1-2pm on 5/24/26. These socials will follow the traditional ACC social format, including games and in-person communication support. The specific location for each social will be emailed to registrants closer to the date of the event.

🌟 Our donors and the Gupta Foundation made it happen! ACC ranked 7th among Cal Lutheran departments that participated in the annual fundraiser. Nearly 70 donors. $30,000 will make a positive impact in the autism community! 🌟

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating to the Autism and Communication Center yesterday—you made it happen.

Together, we reached our $30,000 goal (just shy by $125, but we’re calling it even 🙂).

We are so grateful to the 65 donors who showed up to support us. Your generosity allows us to continue creating meaningful opportunities and support for neurodiverse individuals in incredible ways.
