Blood pressure mastery starts here.
In Nursing Arts, our Medical Assistant students practice proper cuff placement, stethoscope positioning, patient communication, and safety protocols while performing manual BP measurements. They learn accurate documentation standards, how to recognize and report abnormal findings, and the clinical reasoning behind each step. By pairing clear theory with supervised, hands‑on lab practice, students build the confidence and competency needed for real‑world clinical settings—where precision, assessment accuracy, and patient safety truly matter.

From lying down to standing tall, our MA students measure it all.
In Nursing Arts, they master orthostatic blood pressure checks, learning how the body reacts as patients move from supine to sitting to standing. With careful timing, precise readings, and an eye for symptoms like dizziness or weakness, they’re building the clinical instincts that help identify orthostatic hypotension and keep patients safe.

Future Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologists are getting comfortable with the equipment that keeps them safe! Students practiced draping the Zero Gravity Lead Shield, a radiation-protective system designed for physicians during fluoroscopy procedures. It’s a big step beyond the classic lead vest—and a great way for students to understand how technology supports both safety and performance in the lab.
