Big news for MCC students đź’™

Thanks to a generous scholarship from Magnolia, the new Magnolia Scholarship Endowment—established by Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines—will support more than 50 Central Texas students each year, helping remove financial barriers and open doors to college and career training.

For Joanna, it’s a full-circle moment—she started her journey right here at MCC. Now, that same opportunity will be extended to others ready to take their next step.

A beautiful start to the day and a reminder of the environment we are proud to provide for our students. At MCC, it takes a community to create spaces where students can thrive, and we are grateful for those who make it possible every day.

Someone new has joined our herd, and she needs a name!

McLennan Community College’s Agriculture/Agribusiness program, led by Assistant Professor Kirk Schlemmer, has welcomed a beautiful calf, and you can help name her. With a $5 donation, you can cast a vote for your favorite name for our newest Highlander. With a $20 donation, you can submit a new name for others to consider.

Voting begins today and ends on March 18. All proceeds directly support the growth of this program and the students it serves.

Your decision to donate and vote helps the Foundation connect community generosity with student success and the continued growth of the college.

Thank you for being our partner in supporting MCC students.

What a beautiful evening celebrating the arts and the incredible impact they have on our students! ✨

Thank you to everyone who attended the 24th Annual Hearts in the Arts Gala and made the night so special. Because of your generosity, proceeds from the evening will directly support McLennan Community College Visual & Performing Arts students and help ensure they have outstanding opportunities to learn, perform, and create.

We are deeply grateful to our generous sponsors, dedicated gala committee, and wonderful volunteers whose time and talents made this event possible. A very special thank you to our outstanding chairs, Don and Virginia Lewis, for their leadership, generosity, and heartfelt support of MCC and our students.

We also extend our appreciation to Waco Social for the stunning décor, The Olive Branch for the delicious catering, and to everyone who participated in this year’s silent auction. Congratulations as well to McLennan Theatre and the talented cast and crew of Nunsense for a fantastic performance that made the evening truly unforgettable.

We’re excited to share photos from this wonderful night of community, celebration, and support. Thank you for helping us keep the arts thriving at MCC! 💙
