The Macomb Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship recently held its 4th annual Macomb Innovates: The Next Big Thing event at the Lorenzo Cultural Center! High school and college students from Macomb County pitched their big, inventive ideas for a chance to win a prize.

All high school student participants received a $500 scholarship award from the Macomb Community College Foundation that can be applied to tuition, fees and books at the college. Kayley Zanotti, the winner of the college division, was awarded a $1,000 prize from the Macomb Community College Foundation.

The event allowed students to develop their entrepreneurial skills to support their future business and career endeavors. Attendees were able to win prizes, interact with robotic dogs, participate in a business naming contest, and more!

Our clay modeling students had the opportunity to show off their incredible work to prospective employers at our Clay Modeling Showcase Night!

Our clay modeling program works hand-in-hand with many of these businesses, including Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Our partnership with these employers is what helps this program stand out. Students are able to follow a direct route from the classroom to employment.
