The results are in — Law School supporters raised over $6 million during the 2025-26 fiscal year. It was the third-largest fundraising year in our history and demonstrates the tremendous faith our community has in the Law School's mission. Generous support keeps America's first law school going strong, training students to be lawyers known for their skill and integrity.

Donor generosity doesn't just benefit our students — it also changes lives in our communities. A gift from Amy Rollins Kreisler ’95 and her husband, Dr. Nevin Kreisler, supported the creation the Community Law Clinic in 2025, creating another pathway for law students to gain essential experience while serving individuals and families in Hampton Roads. Because the Community Law Clinic exists, members of our community have received transformational legal help they would not have otherwise been able to access.
Thank you to the Kreisler family and all those who support the work of the Law School.

The choice to leave practice for academia looks different for every person, but something that many legal professors share is a love for the law itself. By digging deeply into a topic and sharing that research with the legal community and with law students, professors make a lasting impact on the interpretation and practice of the law.
Three William & Mary Law School alumni — Vania Blaiklock, JD, PhD ’18, Mary Catherine Amerine ’17 and Noah Chauvin ’19 — share what drew them to academia. Each took a different path, but all have found fulfillment in sharing their love of the law through teaching and publications.
