The Department of Architecture is pleased to announce the Carbon Conscious Urban Design Idea Competition, jointly organized by RAJUK in collaboration with UNOPS under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works (MoHPW), as part of the project “Transforming the Built Environment through Sustainable Materials in Bangladesh.”

The initiative is supported by the Government of Germany (BMZ) and implemented in partnership with UNEP, UN-Habitat, HBRI, and PWD. Students from the Department of Architecture and related disciplines are encouraged to participate in this prestigious platform, which promotes climate-responsive design, sustainable materials, and circular construction by contributing to the decarbonization of Bangladesh’s built environment.

The Department of Architecture recently organized an enriching industrial tour to the largest international infrastructure exhibition in Bangladesh, held at ICCB, Kuril. Students, along with the Head of the Department and faculty members, participated in this insightful visit upon invitation from Xceramics Group.

The tour offered a valuable opportunity to explore the latest innovations and trends in the ‘Building Material’ industry, allowing students to connect their academic knowledge with real-world applications. Such initiatives continue to strengthen practical learning and inspire future architects.

It is with profound grief and deep sorrow that we mourn the untimely demise of Md. Roni, a student of the 29th Batch at the Department of Pharmacy, who passed away in a tragic bike accident at Mawa.

He was serving as a Territory Expert Sales Executive (TESE) at Haleon Bangladesh Limited. Md. Roni was a valued member of our Pharmacy Alumni. He will be remembered for his dedication, sincerity, and the warmth he brought to those around him.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers during this difficult time. May the Almighty grant him eternal peace and give his family the strength to bear this great loss.
