Our Dance, Musical Theatre & Creative Media BOA Youth Social Action Ambassadors have made their first YSA trip of the new school year!
We visited Nechells Primary Academy, where three students from our new cohort of BOA YSA Ambassadors took part in their very first trip, delivering a Dance workshop to Year 4.
Through BOA Youth Social Action, we aim to extend access to arts education, creating opportunities for children and young people who face barriers to accessing, or have limited opportunities to experience, the arts.
It's also about our own students sharing their skills, creativity and enthusiasm with younger children through peer-to-peer learning.
A brilliant first trip for our new ambassadors. We are so proud of them!

Taking creativity into the community! 🎭

Our Year 10 and 11 Acting Pathway students recently visited St Clare’s Catholic Primary School in Handsworth as part of the BOA Youth Social Action Ambassadors programme.

Our ambassadors delivered drama and performance workshops for pupils in Years 1, 2, 3 and 5, encouraging them to get creative, build confidence and work together. 🌟

It was also a fantastic opportunity for our ambassadors to share their passion for performance, inspire younger pupils and develop their own leadership skills.

A huge thank you to the staff and pupils at St Clare’s for giving our ambassadors such a warm welcome! 👏

Meet the BOA Youth Social Action Ambassadors 2026/27! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud to introduce our new cohort of 128 Youth Social Action Ambassadors, representing every pathway across BOA 🎭🎨

Now in its fifth year, this fantastic student-led programme empowers young people to use their creativity, leadership and passion to make a real difference in their community. 💙

Through arts-based workshops in local primary schools, our ambassadors share their skills and inspire the next generation through dance, drama, acting, musical theatre, music, visual arts and creative media.

Over the past five years, our ambassadors have delivered an incredible 101 workshops across more than 30 local primary schools, helping children build confidence, explore their creativity and discover new talents. 👏

Their impact doesn't stop there! Our ambassadors also support BOA Super Saturday School and our eight-week arts enrichment programme, helping children who may face barriers to accessing creative opportunities experience the transformative power of the arts. ✨

We can’t wait to see what our 2026/27 cohort achieves as they continue to champion creativity, community engagement and positive change across Birmingham!
