Last week, we attended the NHS 350 Careers Conference in Lancaster, where we met with local students interested in studying medicine and finding out about the opportunities in Cumbria. We also met a variety of NHS colleagues and partners from across the region.

Pears Cumbria School of Medicine has reached an exciting milestone, with more than 100 students now studying across two cohorts. Together with our growing faculty, staff and partners, we continue to build a new model for medical education supporting the future workforce across Cumbria.

The Pears Cumbria School of Medicine team, alongside a number of our Year 2 students, were pleased to attend the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust Annual General Meeting last week.

It was a valuable opportunity for our students to gain insight into the wider healthcare landscape, connect with system partners, and see how collaborative working is helping to shape the future of healthcare in our region.
