In recent years, the Durham Collections Fellowships programme has welcomed almost 200 fellows from around the world to work with our collections here in Durham. Building on this success, we are excited to enter the next phase of the programme and are delighted to welcome applications for the 2026-27 academic year.
Alongside the recently launched Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation Fellowships, we are pleased to announce a new fellowship scheme: the Sino-British Fellowship Trust Visiting Fellowships. These fellowships are intended to support research across any of Durham's collections and are reserved specifically for researchers based at Chinese institutions.
Our new website showcases both past and current fellows and highlights the breadth of research opportunities available across Durham's outstanding collections. Visit the Durham Collections Fellowships website to discover more about the programme, explore previous research projects, and learn how the collections can support your work.
We look forward to receiving applications from researchers across a wide range of disciplines and career stages for this exciting new round of fellowships.
