🎤“Be a microphone, not the voice of children and families with SEND.”

This October, Lincoln Bishop University lecturer Lori Hall shared her inclusive research at the national TES SEND Show in London, opening up important conversations around communication, participation and listening beyond words.

🌻 Drawing on her Sunflower Project, Lori explored how creative, accessible approaches can help people with learning disabilities share their experiences in ways that feel natural, meaningful and heard.

🌟A vision for Lincolnshire!

Earlier this week we celebrated the launch of Lincoln Bishop Business School - marking an exciting new chapter for business education.

The occasion was marked by the unveiling of the Business School plaque by His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant, Toby Dennis, recognising an important milestone for the University.

With a packed schedule across the day, attendees were introduced to the school’s expanding academic portfolio, an insightful keynote address from Chief Executive Officer at Lincoln City Football Club, Liam Scully, and a Student and Alumni Panel, focussing on ‘The Power of Education’📚

This October, our Student Recruitment Widening Participation Officer, Justyn Huntley, was invited to Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Horncastle
Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School (QEGS) in Horncastle, to celebrate Black History Month (BHM) with children in the local community💜

Alongside other contributors, Justyn planned an insightful session for over one hundred children from years 5 and 6!

Throughout the day the children had the opportunity to:
🍴 Try new foods
🪘 Take part in a Djembe drumming workshop
💎 Exchange handmade friendship bracelets whilst exploring themes of equality, diversity and inclusion from the story 'Unspoken'

Justyn said: "Most importantly, the children left having learned something new, asked thoughtful questions and engaged positively with difficult but important conversations about our shared history and the society we want to build together."
