The Official page of the University of Caloocan City Chavez (University President) and Hon. Mayor Oscar G. Malapitan (Chairman of the Board of Regents)

UCC, founded in 1971 as Caloocan Community College, converted to Caloocan City Polytechnic College by virtue of Municipal Ordinance No. 2295 s. 1975 and finally into a University on Feb. 9, 2004, is an institution of higher learning that prioritizes admission to the youths of Caloocan City where they get trained and exposed to timely careers with the primary aim of producing socially aware and productive members of the City of Caloocan. Presently catering to almost 12,000 students in 5 campuses: Sangandaan, Tandang Sora Annex, Buena Park, Camarin Annex and Camarin Voctech - with up and coming two new campuses in the North and South of the City, under the leadership of Dr. Cesar B.

The City Government of Caloocan established its free higher education program through City Ordinance No. 0553, enacted in 2014 and championed by then—Councilor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, who currently serves as the City Mayor. This local initiative was implemented years before the enactment of the national law on free higher education.

Continuing this commitment, City Ordinance No. 1223, Series of 2026, sponsored by 1st District Councilor Vincent Ryan “Enteng” Malapitan, waives miscellaneous fees upon enrollment of college students of the University of Caloocan City (UCC).

The ordinance amends Ordinance No. 0684, Series of 2017, reinforcing the city’s commitment to making quality higher education more accessible and affordable, in line with UCC’s mission to provide inexpensive quality education.

The Office of the University President, headed by University's Officer-in-Charge, 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦. 𝗡𝗮𝘀, will conduct an information lecture on CMO No. 24, S. 2026, entitled “Enhanced Guidelines for the Local Off-Campus Activity for Student Knowledge, Well-Being, and Accessible Learning Opportunity (LAKBAY).”

The lecture aims to orient students on the enhanced guidelines governing local off-campus activities to promote safe, responsible, and accessible learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
