The pioneering AgriQuest delegates and officers of The Voyagers, together with the second batch of AgriQuest student and faculty delegates, held a peer mentoring session on October 22, 2026, at the Computer Room of the Academic Building of Sorsogon State University – Castilla Campus. The second batch is set to depart for South Korea in November for a 30-day agricultural learning experience at Dagam Farm in Changwon City.

The second batch includes Sandra Mae L. Coronado, a BS Agriculture major in Agricultural Education student; Domenic M. Llacer, a BS Agribusiness student; and Claire L. Duploso and Symon E. Rey, both BS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering students. They will be accompanied by Mr. Al M. Alcantara, Director of the National Service Training Program (NSTP).

Led by Ms. Mari Anne B. Gojar, International Relations Office Coordinator and adviser of The Voyagers, the session focused on travel preparations, required documents, and what to expect during their stay in South Korea. The pioneering delegates, represented by Roma J. Ervas, Roy G. Tañedo, Milaena Khristen Sabado, and Jesus Angelou M. Salamatin, shared their experiences in Korea, including the culture, places they visited, and activities at Dagam Farm. They also demonstrated the proper use of harvesting tools and equipment and introduced key personnel the new delegates would meet at the farm. Ms. Gojar also shared practical tips to help the delegates prepare for their trip and adjust to their new environment.

As a student organization under the International Relations Office, The Voyagers continues to support internationalization and global engagement by helping fellow students prepare for international learning opportunities. With the support of the College of Agriculture, the mentoring session provided a space for the incoming delegates to learn from the experiences of the pioneering batch and gain confidence before their departure.

The session ended with messages of encouragement from the pioneering delegates, who reminded the new batch to enjoy their experience, learn as much as they can, and represent Sorsogon State University and the Philippines with pride and integrity. As the University prepares to send its second batch to South Korea, the initiative builds on the success of the first group and strengthens the campus commitment to providing students with opportunities to learn beyond borders.

𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐎: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 🪔🕯️📿

In line with the 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 this October, the 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 celebrates this observance on October 22, 2026, on the campus grounds. Together with the students, organizations, and faculty, the field was illuminated with lights and candles, shaping the living rosary. As the sun set, creating a calming scenery, the living rosary became a beacon of hope for the campus community. 🪔

This initiative is a symbol of hope, peace, prayer, and devotion among participants. The five mysteries created hope through the intentions for students, faculty, and student leaders. The intentions of prayer were for those individuals who are suffering with their mental health, students who are thriving in life, those who are sick, prayers for safety, and those individuals who are losing faith.

The culminating activity concluded with the remarks of the SSC President, appreciating every participant’s presence and giving a reminder to pray through every up and down. As the smoke of the candles slowly fades, may our prayers reach the One who listens and answers them. May our doubts start to lighten as the smoke flies freely in the air, and may this culminating activity give you peace, hope, and a heartfelt reflection to come back to 𝐇𝐈𝐌 through prayer to our 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲.📿
