KAGKOYOG SA LALAN 2026 | KANDALUDAYA KICK-OFF

Today, October 19, 2026, the Peace and Development Student Organization (PDSO), together with the AB Peace and Development students, proudly participated in the Kagkoyog sa Lalan (Parade), marking the official kickoff of Kandaludaya 2026 of Cotabato State University.

With unity, enthusiasm, and the spirit of camaraderie, our PDians joined the celebration, showcasing not only our vibrant presence but also our commitment to peace, development, culture, and active student participation.

Today, October 15, 2026, the Peace and Development Center of 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, in partnership with 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, successfully conducted the 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬, 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in commemoration of the 14th Anniversary of the Signing of the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB).

The activity served as a meaningful avenue to strengthen peace education, promote awareness of the Bangsamoro peace process, and make valuable peace-related resources accessible to students, educators, and the wider university community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Sam Chittick, Country Representative for The Asia Foundation in the Philippines, and Dr. Noraida Chio of The Asia Foundation for sharing valuable insights and facilitating an enlightening discussion on the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro and its significance in the continuing pursuit of peace and development.

We also express our gratitude to Dr. Ombra A. Imam, Director of the Peace and Development Center, and Dr. Teng A. Alim for their valuable presence and continued commitment to advancing peace education and peacebuilding initiatives within the university.

Special appreciation goes to the Peace and Development Student Organization (PDSO), headed by its adviser, Ma’am Neneng A. Salipada, MAPD, for its active participation and support in making this meaningful activity possible. We likewise acknowledge the steadfast support of the AB Peace and Development Chairman, Dr. Abdulmonaim S. Ebrahim, whose leadership continues to strengthen the academic and peacebuilding initiatives of the program.

May the knowledge shared, resources turned over, and conversations initiated today inspire our students to become informed, engaged, and committed peacebuilders—contributing to a more peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable Bangsamoro.

Peace education is not only about learning the history of peace; it is about becoming part of its future.

Beyond the steps we took, the Peace Walk gave us an opportunity to listen to the voices, reflections, and hopes of students and participants who believe in the importance of peace.

Through our interviews, they shared what kapayapaan means to them, why young people have an important role in peacebuilding, and how unity, understanding, and active participation can help build a more peaceful community.

Every voice carries a message. Every step carries a purpose.

Sa bawat hakbang, ipinapaalala natin na ang kapayapaan ay hindi lamang isang adhikain—ito ay isang pananagutang sama-sama nating isabuhay.

Sa pagdiriwang ng 2026 National Peace Consciousness Month, sama-sama tayong naglalakad hindi lamang para magkaisa, kundi upang patatagin ang diwa ng pagkakaisa, pagkakaunawaan, at pakikilahok tungo sa isang mas mapayapa at maunlad na pamayanan.

Isang hakbang para sa kapayapaan. Isang paninindigan para sa kaunlaran.

The CSU Peace and Development Center, in collaboration with the Peace and Development Students Organization (PDSO), successfully conducted the On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest on September 25, 2026, at the CSU Mini Park, as part of the celebration of National Peace Consciousness Month.

Bringing together creativity, youth expression, and the shared vision of peace, the activity provided students with a meaningful platform to transform their ideas and hopes for peace into art. 🎨🕊️

May every stroke of color remind us that peace begins with a vision, grows through participation, and becomes meaningful through collective action.
