The Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, and Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology programs have successfully completed the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Assessment held from February 24 to 26, 2026.

This milestone highlights the programs’ dedication to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and the pursuit of internationally recognized standards in health sciences education.

The Institution likewise acknowledges the Center for Educational Effectiveness and Accreditation (CEEA), together with the respective colleges and the various support services of DLSMHSI, for their collaborative efforts and commitment throughout the AUN-QA assessment process.

The Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy conducted a site visit and consultation with community leaders as part of its Community Extension Program in Barangay Lumipa, Kaymisas, and Dalusag (formerly Guyong-Guyong), General Emilio Aguinaldo (Bailen), Cavite.

The activity served as an initial engagement with partner communities, focusing on dialogue with local stakeholders, exploration of indigenous medicinal plants, and assessment of existing community facilities and health-related needs. These observations will guide the development of upcoming community-based initiatives of the College.

In line with its extension thrusts, the program aims to implement projects that promote the use of herbal medicine for the management of common ailments within the community, while also strengthening awareness on medication safety and adherence. This includes empowering residents with proper knowledge on the safe and effective use of both traditional and modern therapeutic options.

Beyond teaching and research, this initiative underscores the College’s sustained commitment to meaningful community engagement, evidence-based public health interventions, and collaborative partnerships that support holistic and sustainable community well-being.

The Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy proudly congratulates its delegates for being crowned CHAMPIONS in the recently concluded National Pharmacy Quiz Bee held last May 2, 2026, at the University of San Carlos.

This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication, discipline, and academic excellence of the team, who represented the institution with pride and distinction. Guided by Coach Sigfredo B. Mata, RPh, Assistant Coach Darvin Andrien D.L. Patulot, RPh, and Faculty-in-Charge Renz Angelo G. Bunquin, RPh, the delegates—Paulo B. Fabros (Team Leader), Adrian Miguel Caparangca, Mio Bansale, and Ron Maverick Rosales—exhibited exemplary teamwork, knowledge, and composure throughout the competition.

Their success stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and the continuous development of future pharmacists. The faculty members of the Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy participated in a Training and Development Program held from April 27–29 in Bacolod City at Herbanext Laboratories Inc..

The program enhanced their skills and knowledge in the manufacturing processes of herbal drug products, equipping the faculty with updated industry practices that can be integrated into pharmacy education and student training. As a partner institution for internship programs, Herbanext Laboratories Inc. continues to strengthen collaboration between academe and industry through experiential learning opportunities and professional development initiatives.

This activity supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by promoting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) through advancements in herbal pharmaceutical practices, SDG 4 (Quality Education) through faculty capability enhancement and industry-based learning, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through sustained collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners.

The Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy (DMQCP) brought the creativity and innovation of its BS Pharmacy students to life through Bighani Cosmetics Convention 2026, held on May 6, 2026, at the DLSMHSI Annex Auditorium.

Year Level 2 students explored the art of wine crafting and presentation, while Year Level 3 students showcased their ingenuity through a captivating cosmetics exhibit and market pitch—demonstrating not only their pharmaceutical knowledge but also their potential in entrepreneurship and innovative product development.

The event opened with inspiring remarks from Asst. Prof. Rica Marie Karikitan, Academic Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, setting the tone for a day of learning and discovery. In his message, DMQCP Dean Assoc. Prof. Louie Fernand Legaspi emphasized that the event serves as a platform for students to express creativity and showcase what Lasallian pharmacists can contribute beyond traditional drug practice.

Guest speakers Ms. Helida Xyza Ragunjan and Dr. Jerson Ngo Taguibao further enriched the event with insights on ethical beauty influencing and the expanding role of pharmacists in dermatology.

This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to UN SDG 4, while promoting responsible innovation aligned with UN SDG 12 and advancing health-conscious practices under UN SDG 3.
