𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗟𝗢𝗖-𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

Students from the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 of Mindanao State University – General Santos (MSU-GenSan), particularly from the 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗠), participated in the 23rd Socially Innovative Global Online Classroom (SIGLOC-Online), hosted by the COIL Division of Osaka Metropolitan University. The online sessions were conducted from March 2 to March 20, 2026, bringing together students from different countries around the world.

The participation of the MSU-GenSan students was initiated and led by Professors Michael Auditor, Jibran Tomindug, Lito Gallego Jr., Ronairah Dindang, and Lovely Echalar from the Accountancy and DEMM Departments. Through the program, students collaborated with participants from countries including Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Russia, and Zambia, promoting intercultural learning, global collaboration, and the exchange of innovative ideas.

SIGLOC aims to empower self-motivated and creative individuals to develop meaningful and sustainable solutions to pressing societal issues involving governments, non-profit organizations, and corporations. The program nurtures students to become future global innovators who can address real-world challenges through collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the program particularly supports SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through this international learning experience, students were encouraged to become globally aware, socially responsible, and innovative leaders committed to creating positive change in their communities and beyond.

Reflecting on how the program shaped their perspectives and strengthened their skills as future social innovators, the students shared their testimonies below on their SIGLOC-Online journey.

The final voyage reached its peak! The stage transformed into a roaring sea of fire performances, explosive dance battles, and concert-worthy imitations that shook the crowd to its core. 💃✨

Every crew gave it their all, chasing glory like pirates after treasure. But when the final call was made, only one flag remained untouched. After days of holding their ground, the Red-Haired Pirates sealed their place and claimed the 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘, defending what they had carried from the start, all the way to the end.

In this sea, it’s not just about claiming the ultimate treasure. It's about proving, time and time again, that you have what it takes to keep it. 🔥

Day 2 sailed in on steadier waters, but the crew stayed alert. The red-haired pirates moved through changing tides of challenge, shifting from quick exchanges to slower, more calculated rounds, each one demanding a different kind of control. 🧩

A mix of quick hands, sharper minds, and steady endurance kept the momentum going across the day. Patience mattered and every decision felt like plotting a course across unfamiliar waters.

Nothing special with this day, really, just a crew reading the sea well and staying on route. ⚓

First day on deck, and the crew kept it tight! JPIA stormed the parade grounds, then took over the stage with solo and duet performances that hit like cannon fire, followed by acoustic sets that kept the vibe steady like waves at sea. 🌊

Wearing the mark of red-haired pirates, JPIA proved that they weren’t just part of the lineup, they were 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.

The sails were raised, and JPIAns definitely did not come to play, they came to conquer the 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘. 🏆
