𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐏𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐂𝐘 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐍𝐂 𝐈𝐈𝐈 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐍
In line with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.’s directives to expand public access to essential healthcare services and medicines, particularly in underserved communities, and to help address the nationwide shortage of licensed pharmacists, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), in partnership with Philippine Women’s University (PWU), GIPDEX, and RITEMED, conducted the Pharmacy Services NC III National Certification Caravan.
The Regional Training Center–Butuan (RTC-Butuan) of TESDA-Caraga served as the designated assessment venue for the two-day National Certification Caravan held on October 12–13, 2026.
The assessment aimed to evaluate candidates’ competencies in assisting with pharmacy operations, properly handling and storing pharmaceutical products, providing appropriate customer service, and complying with applicable safety, quality, and legal requirements in the delivery of pharmacy services.
The 41 candidates were pharmacy assistants from various provinces of the Caraga Region who had undergone training facilitated by GIPDEX, a Philippine-based professional development organization specializing in training, research, scientific events, and consulting services. GIPDEX seeks to help individuals and organizations enhance their knowledge, technical competencies, and professional performance.
Meanwhile, RITEMED sponsored the assessment, demonstrating its support for the development and recognition of competent pharmacy service professionals.
The assessment was facilitated by TESDA under the leadership of Director General Secretary Jose Francisco “Kiko” B. Benitez. It was led by personnel from the TESDA Certification Office, together with the three selected Pharmacy Services NC III assessors:

Through initiatives such as the National Certification Caravan, TESDA continues to strengthen technical-vocational education and training (TVET), promote skills excellence, and recognize the competencies of Filipino workers in support of the country’s workforce development and healthcare service delivery.
