PLM Haribon Athletics thanks the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) for its donations of basketballs along with other various sports equipment to Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

The donations were part of the PSC's mandate under Section 2 of Republic Act No. 6847 to promote physical education and support the development of sports in the country.

These basketballs are definitely a huge boost for the university's varsity hoops program as well as the PLM Intramural Games and related student sporting activities. PLM continues to advance its commitment to hone student-athletes not just in academics but also in athletics and physical fitness.

The BDB Law Foundation has officially opened applications for its Scholarship Program for School Year 2026–2027, providing financial assistance opportunities for qualified students from partner institutions, including the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).

For this application cycle, the Foundation will accept only 60 new scholars across all partner schools. Slots will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis upon completion and submission of all application requirements.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled in at least their second year by SY 2026–2027 and may come from any academic program or discipline.
Interested students must complete the online application form and submit all required documents.

Applicants are then required to submit the following documents to the PLM Resource Generation Office (RGO):

✔ Certificate of Good Moral Character from the PLM Scholarship Committee
✔ Certificate of Indigency

The deadline for submission of applications to the BDB Law Foundation is June 15, 2026, or until all 60 scholarship slots have been filled, whichever comes first. Meanwhile, PLM students must submit their documentary requirements to the RGO on or before June 11, 2026.

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila celebrates the success of its 36 newly licensed Certified Public Accountants in the May 2026 Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination (CPALE).

PLM posted a 52.94% passing rate (36/68), surpassing the 30.83% national passing rate, while its first-time takers achieved an impressive 58.49% passing rate (31/53).

This achievement reflects the dedication of our graduates, the excellence of the PLM College of Accountancy, and the University's commitment to producing competent and ethical professionals.

Congratulations to our new CPAs for bringing honor and pride to the PLM community and the City of Manila!

🎉 Congratulations to Prof. Liezel Agliam-Zafra🎉

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila proudly congratulates Prof. Liezel A. Zafra, Center for University Extension Services (CUES) Director, for representing the University as a Paper Presenter at the 9th International Conference on Asian and Philippine Studies (ICAPS), held in Cagayan de Oro City on May 28–30, 2026.

Prof. Zafra presented her research entitled:
“From Liability to Pliability: Pangangayaw in the Seas and the Case of Filipina Seafarers in the Post-Pandemic Period”

Her scholarly work highlights critical issues affecting Filipina seafarers and contributes to the growing body of knowledge on maritime labor, gender studies, and post-pandemic realities.
