Today, the College of Criminal Justice Education proudly hosted a hybrid webinar that brought together our CCJE students both onsite and online. We were honored to learn from FO1 Mark Joseph P. Gornes, Fire Arson Investigator, and FO1 Keir S. Alegarme, Nozzleman and Building Inspector, as they shared their expertise on fire safety, investigative procedures, and the vital role of criminologists in arson investigation. Their insights not only deepened our understanding of fire technology but also inspired us to think critically and professionally about our future roles in safeguarding society. Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to our speakers in recognition of their dedication to criminology education and public safety. The event concluded with a group photo, symbolizing unity, learning, and commitment to excellence. Special thanks to EDTECH for the documentation and venue set-up that made this hybrid webinar possible.

On this sacred day, we honor the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a celebration of purity, grace, and divine love. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, preserved from all stain, intercede for us and guide our hearts toward holiness. As Lasallians, we unite in prayer and reflection, embracing the light of faith and the strength of community. Let this day be a reminder of our shared devotion and the beauty of spiritual renewal. Through Mary’s example, may we walk with courage, compassion, and unwavering hope.

It’s December 1, the beginning of the final chapter of this year. May we all find the strength to finish what we have started, and may every challenge we face leave us with lessons that shape us for the better. This month is not only a time to close our academic journey with resilience, but also a chance to pause, reflect, and honor ourselves. In the midst of deadlines and responsibilities, let us not forget to breathe, unwind, and embrace moments of joy. As the year draws to a close, may we carry gratitude for our survival, pride in our growth, and hope for the days ahead.
