[PUBLIC SERVICE ADVISORY] Davao del Norte State College informs the public that office transactions will be suspended from October 28 to November 2, 2026, in observance of the following activities and holidays:

📌 October 28 (Wednesday) – Work and classes are suspended as employees participate in the on-site mental health workshop, “Stronger Minds, Healthier Workplaces: Stress Management and Emotional Wellness Program”.
📌 October 29 (Thursday) – Mental Health Break for students and employees
📌 October 30 (Friday) – Work-from-Home arrangement, subject to changes in accordance with local or national proclamations
📌 November 2 (Monday) – All Souls’ Day, special non-working day

These activities put emphasis on the importance of mental health and well-being in fostering a healthier, more productive, and supportive community. May this break give everyone time to rest, recharge, and attend to their personal well-being.

[DNSC ADVISORY ] INSTITUTIONAL WELLNESS LEAVE & MENTAL HEALTH BREAK

In celebration of Mental Health Month, Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) reminds everyone of the importance of taking a pause, prioritizing well-being, and nurturing a healthy work-life balance.

Please be informed that Thursday, October 29, 2026, is declared an INSTITUTIONAL WELLNESS LEAVE.

As stated in Office Memorandum No. 088, all offices will be closed, and there will be no office transactions, face-to-face or online services, or classes on this day.

"Rest is not a reward; it is a necessity. You do not have to earn the right to pause. Taking care of your mental health is part of taking care of yourself."

[WATCH] DNSC capped the Lingkod Bayani Kasadyaan Festival 2026 by honoring public servants and spotlighting the talents of the teaching and non-teaching personnel.
The culminating activities included the Recognition of Employees, Tribute to Retirees, Team Building, Mr. and Ms. Kasadyaan 2026, and Dance Drama, celebrating the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary with tributes to dedication, fellowship, and the diverse talents of the DNSC community.
Strangers became teammates, acquaintances grew into colleagues, and colleagues became friends. Truly, a festival to remember!

[WHAT WE DO] Selected faculty members and non-teaching personnel engaged in three days of learning and practical exercises with a Special Education specialist and sign language interpreter during DNSC’s Capacity-Building Program on Inclusive Strategies for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Learners.

The sessions covered mindset development for DHH inclusion, communication techniques, teaching strategies, accessible instructional materials, assessment adaptations, and curriculum adjustments. Participants also explored visual pedagogy and DeafSpace principles and developed actionable plans to improve accessibility in their respective areas of responsibility.
“During our ISO audit, the accreditor asked how we accommodate Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners and what initiatives we have in place. It prompted us to assess whether we have these initiatives and whether we are implementing them fully. It is important that we put inclusive education into practice, as it is already provided for in our student manual and intended for our students,” shared Dr. Leonida P. Piorac, Director for Curriculum and Instruction.

Psychologists, psychometricians, and mental health professionals from Davao del Norte State College participated in the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) Convention 2026, joining fellow practitioners from other schools, clinics, and industries.
