𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: On 25 October 2026, the 8th Training Day of the Occidental Mindoro State University (OMSU) ROTC Unit was conducted. ROTC Officers reported at the DMST Office at 0500H. At 0600H, a formal inspection of officers was carried out.

At exactly 0700H, all Basic Cadets formed up at the Grandstand for morning attendance. They then proceeded to the university gymnasium. At 0830H, Pvt Rose An P Nicolas started the lecture on General Drill Information. At 1000H, Pvt Mark Anthony A Jimenez delivered a lecture on Basic Signal Communication. After the lectures, the Midterm Examination was administered. The activity was supervised by 1LT RONALDO P DADAYA, Assistant Commandant, and CPL Jerwin Nerizon, (Inf) PA ROTC Division, and monitored by ROTC Coordinator Rexel M Calay.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: On 22 October 2026 at 1330H The new Group Commander, of the 17th Regional Community Defense Group (17RCDG), COL ARNOLD D LOZADA INF (GSC) PA, arrived at Occidental Mindoro State University accompanied by CDC personnel led by MAJ JILBERT L DEFENSOR (AGS) PA, CDC Director, and cpl Jerwin Nerizon,(inf) PA Rotc division nco 1LT Ronaldo P Dadaya, assistant commandant with ROTC Coordinator Mr. Rexel M Calay. They held a meeting at the DMST Office with CORPS and STAFF. The discussion covered ROTC program matters, coordination updates, and operational concerns.

At 1400H, the delegation proceeded to the Office of Dr. Elbert C. Edaniol, EdD, University President, for an official courtesy call. They were joined by Dr. Ronald P. Sanqui, EdD, NSTP Director. The courtesy call aimed to formally introduce the new Group Commander, strengthen existing ties between the university and the ROTC unit, and align on program direction and support.

A Sunday well spent at OMSU ROTC Unit 🇵🇭

On 18 October 2026, we held our regular Sunday training! From uniform inspection, formation, marching drills, to an insightful Gender and Development (GAD) lecture. Thank you to our officers, Cpl Jerwin P Nerizon, MAJ Jilbert L Defensor, Mr. Rexel M Calay, and our guest speaker Mr. Vincent Don Busto for a productive and meaningful day of training and learning.
