With the incoming additional qualifiers (Batch 2) and to give further extension to all other qualifiers, the Admission Coordinator, through coordination and approval of Chancellor Lauzon, announces the re-extension of cutoff of pre-registration and submission of admission credentials:

*** July 10, 2026 @ 5:00 PM ***

The abovementioned cutoff does not apply to qualifiers with lacking documents and have executed a notarized Assurance Form due to prolonged non-compliance brought by uncontrolled circumstances.

Submission of admission credentials shall be done immediately after pre-registration (only during workdays).

Qualifier ka bang nagsubmit na nang admission credentials? Here is an update about your electronic Certificate of Registration (eCOR).

We have started sending blank eCOR to all qualifiers who successfully appeared and submitted their admission credentials to the Registrar’s Office. This eCOR shall serve as your official proof of enrollment to VSU Tolosa. A validated COR will be issued by the Registrar’s Office after the 1st day of classes.

Only qualifiers with regular status (complete requirements) have been officially approved/enrolled to the degree program they qualified to. They shall receive a temporary blank eCOR, and will be updated between the 2nd or 3rd week of July 2026.

Approval/Enrollment of probationary qualifiers (incomplete requirements) are withheld until the lacking requirements are submitted, except those qualifiers who executed a notarized Assurance Form.

Finally, we wish to congratulate all new . We hope to see you on August 10, 2026 for the opening of 1st Semester, AY 2026-2027.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐕𝐒𝐔 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥

In line with the nationwide initiative spearheaded by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), students, faculty members, and staff of Visayas State University Tolosa participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) earlier today, June 18.

Immediately after the simulated earthquake alarm sounded, Tolosa Viscans within the vicinity of the campus followed the "Drop, Cover, and Hold" protocol before proceeding to designated evacuation areas, testing the university's emergency response procedures and evacuation system.

The drill was led by Mr. Harvey Tabunan, Head of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Office of VSU Tolosa, in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of the Municipality of Tolosa. This joint effort helped ensure the orderly conduct of the drill.

Through initiatives like this, the university aims to cultivate a culture of preparedness, ensuring that every member of the academic community is equipped to respond effectively during emergencies, including earthquakes.

Worried ka ba kasi di ka nakapag-pre-register and/or submit nung mga enrollment credentials mo on or before June 11? This is your time to comply!

Upon consultation and approval of Chancellor Lauzon, the Admission Coordinator wishes to inform all VSU Tolosa CAT 2026 qualifiers (Batch 1) of the following extensions of pre-registrations and submission of enrollment credentials (see attached photo).

*** REMINDERS ***

As a reminder to all qualifiers, the pre-registration (slot confirmation) process is the 1st step of the 3-step admission-to-enrollment process of VSU Tolosa.

In the 2nd step, successfully submitted pre-registration will remain PENDING and shall be approved only if all enrollment credentials are SUBMITTED to the Registrar's Office. A Certificate of Admission (COA) will be given to the qualifier once these requirements are presented and submitted to the Registrar Staff. A regular status will be indicated in the COA if requirements are complete and in order. Otherwise, a probationary status will be given.

Finally in the 3rd step, an electronic copy of the Certificate of Registration (eCOR) will be issued to the qualifier's registered email address once he/she is officially enrolled. The eCOR will contain the list of enrolled courses, class schedules, etc.

Initially, we will be sending a blank eCOR - so DO NOT PANIC! We will update the eCOR around the 1st or 2nd week of July 2026. An official bulletin will be issued once we start updating the eCORs and on how you can check it via our Student Portal.

After 19 June 2026, all unclaimed slots will be offered to the next-in-rank qualifiers. Yes, you read that right! An additional set of qualifiers (Batch 2) will be announced soon. So, just keep posted!

May nareceive ka bang email invitation? Ada, kay congratulations!

The Admission Committees of the Teacher Education (BEEd, BSEd, BPEd, and BCAEd) and Fisheries (BSFi) Programs have sent email invitations for interviews and/or skills/aptitude tests to additional qualifiers being considered for admission. This process is part of the 2nd-level Screening (2LS) of the aforementioned programs. BSCrim, BSISM, and BSMB programs have no approved policy for 2LS.

These additional qualifiers were identified after some previously identified qualifiers opted not to pursue pre-registration. As a result, slots became available and were offered to non-qualifiers based on the next-in-rank policy.
