BREAKING NEWS: The Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines – USLT Student Chapter (ICpEP-USLT Chapter) has been recognized as the Top 3 Most Outstanding Student Organization for the Gawad San Luis 2026, one of the university's highest recognitions for exemplary student organizations. The award honors organizations that demonstrate excellence in leadership, service, innovation, and commitment to the Louisian core values.

| SACE Department Extends Prayers to Mindanao

The SACE Department extends its deepest prayers and solidarity to the people of Mindanao following the powerful magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck offshore Sarangani on the morning of June 8, 2026. The earthquake was strongly felt across several provinces and cities in Mindanao, with General Santos City experiencing destructive ground shaking and numerous aftershocks report in the hours that followed.

According to reports from PHIVOLCS and national news agencies, the earthquake triggered tsunami warnings, caused damage to buildings and infrastructure, and resulted in casualties and injuries in affected communities. Rescue, response, and assessment operations remain ongoing as authorities continue to monitor the situation and assist those impacted.

In times of uncertainty, we are reminded of the strength of community, resilience, and compassion. As members of the academic community, we stand united with our fellow Filipinos in Mindanao and recognize the efforts of first responders, volunteers, and organizations working tirelessly to ensure the safety and recovery of affected areas.

The SACE Department calls on everyone to remain vigilant, stay informed through official advisories, and keep the people of Mindanao in our thoughts and prayers.

To honor the achievements of its newly licensed professionals, the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering (SACE) held a celebratory parade for its board passers on Friday, June 5.

Faculty members, students, and organization representatives gathered to recognize the perseverance and dedication of the successful examinees as they marched around the campus.

The parade served as a tribute to the board passers' accomplishment and a reminder of the excellence and commitment upheld by the SACE Department.
