Celebrating the Spirit of Pakistan-Turkey Friendship! 🇵🇰🇹🇷
On 31-10-2025, this program organized by the SSC, University of Gujrat .
On the same day some activities were held at Quaid-e- Azam library auditorium Hall & FDFA & Allama Iqbal Hall and IHRM .
A. Allama Iqbal Hall activities
I. The celebration began with the hoisting of the Pakistani and Turkish flags .
II. Badminton Men Match
A flag-hoisting ceremony marking the celebration of Türkiye’s National Day was held at Allama Iqbal Hall , University of Gujrat.
Prof. Dr. Zahid Yousaf, Dean, Faculty of Arts and organizer Director Ms. Shama Tahseen ( student services Center) hoisted the national flag, expressing solidarity and the spirit of friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye.
The Student Services Center University of Gujrat, celebrated Türkiye’s National Day with enthusiasm, in collaboration with History & Pakistan Studies, Political Science, Directorate of Sports, IHRM, UoG Debating Society, Readers Club & Qalamkar Society

The University of Gujrat celebrated Türkiye’s National Day as part of the Turkish National Day Celebration week to highlight the role of Allama Iqbal’s poetry in fostering the bond of brotherhood and shared cultural heritage between Pakistan and Turkiye.

Under the theme “Words from Turkey” a beautiful literary celebration organized by the Readers’ Club in collaboration with Student Affairs, University of Gujrat.
Organized by the Student Society Readers Club of the University of Gujarat, in the context of Pak-Turkey Friendship, the literary program Book Trivia 2025. A large number of students participated and learned about Turkish literature and thought.
Qalamkar Creative Writing Forum had the honor of participating in the concluding session of Pakistan-Turkey Friendship at the Library Auditorium Hall!
The event was a beautiful blend of cultures, creativity, and camaraderie. Our featured poetry segment was a highlight, where talented poets took the stage to recite verses that echoed the shared values and rich heritage of Pakistan and Turkey. The words resonated deeply, bridging hearts and fostering a sense of unity!
This was followed by a captivating Turkish screening session, arranged by UoG Debating Society, which gave us a glimpse into the vibrant culture and traditions of Turkey. It was a truly enriching experience!
The students received certificates and shields from the Mian Khurram, Assistant Director Student Affairs, University of Gujrat,along with Dr. Muhammad Yousaf , Associate Professor & Director Press Media UOG, Professor Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed, Chairperson, Department of Mathematics, Dr. Ghulam Abbas and Dr. Rukhsana Riaz, Coordinators, Readers Club.
All organizing members expressed that such events enhance students' cultural awareness, teamwork, and appreciation of international relations based on peace and brotherhood.
