Just received an email from HEC that the 𝑱𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 (𝑼𝒓𝒅𝒖) 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰-𝟮𝟱. For this, I would like to thank the HEC authorities, especially the honorable reviewers who gave the honor of accepting the Journal of Research (Urdu) by trusting its quality and management.
𝙄 𝙬𝒐𝙪𝒍𝙙 𝙖𝒍𝙨𝒐 𝒍𝙞𝒌𝙚 𝙩𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝙝𝒂𝙩 𝙩𝒉𝙚 𝙡𝒆𝙖𝒅𝙚𝒓𝙨𝒉𝙞𝒑 𝒐𝙛 𝙩𝒉𝙚 𝙙𝒆𝙥𝒂𝙧𝒕𝙢𝒆𝙣𝒕 𝒐𝙛 𝙐𝒓𝙙𝒖 𝑩𝙕𝑼 𝑴𝙪𝒍𝙩𝒂𝙣, 𝒓𝙚𝒑𝙡𝒂𝙘𝒊𝙣𝒈 𝒎𝙚, 𝒉𝙖𝒔 𝒏𝙤𝒘 𝒂𝙥𝒑𝙤𝒊𝙣𝒕𝙚𝒅 𝑫𝙧. 𝑴𝙪𝒉𝙖𝒎𝙢𝒂𝙙 𝘼𝒔𝙞𝒇 𝒂𝙨 𝙩𝒉𝙚 𝙚𝒅𝙞𝒕𝙤𝒓 𝒐𝙛 𝙅𝑶𝙍 (𝑼𝙧𝒅𝙪).
At this time, with best wishes to the new team, I would also like to share that I have been working for the JOR (Urdu), first as a Sub-Editor, and then as an Editor for 𝟎𝟒 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, and tried hard to keep it among renowned Urdu research journals in Pakistan. 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱:
(1) A separate 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗢𝗥(𝗨𝗿𝗱𝘂) was launched.
(2) Journal's 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗡 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 was obtained.
(3) Its continuity was carried in true letter and spirit on a half-yearly basis and 𝟭𝟮 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀, including two issues of the year that came under the responsibility of the former editorial board, 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱.
(4) 𝗜𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵-𝟮𝟬, the Journal of Research (Urdu) was derecognized by the HEC because of not meeting timeliness, so after assuming the duties of the Sub-Editor, with day and night hard work, finally got it 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗬 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆.
(5) Tracing and finding the complete 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 of the JOR and then making 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗘𝗖 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, was the most difficult task, but made it done with the support of the administration of the University. Today, any article published in the journal since 2001 can be easily read or downloaded by any author name or article title.
(6) For the last 𝟬𝟰 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, special attention was paid to 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹. It was not only published regularly in the light of HEC rules and regulations but its published articles were also designed on the pattern of world-renowned journals. As a result, when many other journals have been facing a lot of difficulties in getting accredited, 𝗝𝗢𝗥 (𝗨𝗿𝗱𝘂)’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 ‘𝗬’ 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 by respected reviewers 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆, 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.
(7) As an editor, I signed 𝟬𝟮 𝗠𝗢𝗨𝘀 of annual data sharing with HEC Approved 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗕𝗦𝗖𝗢 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗟𝗔 and 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗘𝗛𝗤𝗘𝗘𝗤𝗔𝗧 (UET Lahore). JOR is included in their lists at the moment. Moreover, during the recent period, it was published as per the requirements and design to get it indexed in 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗨𝗦. It was scheduled to be re-submitted in 2025 in the light of previous 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗨𝗦.
With this, 𝑰 𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝑬𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 and hope that they will take, the bi-annual "Y-Category HEC Approved Journal of Research (Urdu)" to new horizons and maintain its position as one of the key recognitions of the Urdu department BZU Multan.
