Five students received the Velena Smith Johnson Book Stipend, and five students were awarded the Lynda Dunlap Cosey Scholarship.

These exceptional students have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and dedication to their future goals.

The Dream Makers Mentoring Program embraced the inspiring theme, “Don’t Just Dream It, DIY It!” The mentees focused on ACT test preparation and received valuable guidance from special guest speaker Ms. Hamilton of YES! Academy, who shared helpful strategies and tips for success on the ACT.

After the informative session, mentees participated in a fun and creative hands-on craft activity where they learned how to design charm bracelets, junk ties, trucker hats, and decorated jeans.

The mentees left the program not only with new skills and personalized creations, but also with valuable lessons in networking, social skills, and resilience.
