A huge thank you to the 70 attendees who joined us for the 5th annual AMES Conference, our largest turnout yet! We had a great time welcoming members of the community, preceptors, faculty, staff, alumni, and current students for a day of learning and professional development.
Because of the support provided by UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Enovis, the University at Buffalo's School of Public Health and Health Professions, the University at Buffalo Exercise and Nutrition Sciences Department, and Buffalo Sports Medicine, we were able to offer this event free of charge to our guests.
This year’s program featured:
• Morning Mindset and Movement, an active yoga session to set intentions for the day, with Jess Frame, MS, LAT, ATC
• Regulate and Recover Lecture with Jess Frame, MS, LAT, ATC
• Emerging Trends in Sports Nutrition with Emily Galbraith, MS, RD, CSSD, ISAK-1, Sports Dietitian for the Buffalo Sabres and UB Clinical Nutrition alumnus
• Treat Yourself First Talk on Sleep with Chris Perry, PhD, CSCS
• Trends in Upper Extremity Rehabilitation with Dr. Bryan Gardner, DPT, ATC, CSCS
• Trends in Lower Extremity Rehabilitation with Mike Adesso, PT, ATC
Our keynote session, Neurodiversity in Athletic Patient Populations, was presented by Dr. Warren Bodine, DO, Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician at Mass General Brigham.
Thank you again to our speakers, sponsors, and attendees for making this year’s conference a tremendous success. We look forward to seeing you next year!
