Nothing says love like coming together to serve others. Christine Duke got to take part in this herself.

"Students, staff, and faculty came together in a heartfelt show of creativity and community spirit for The Cupid’s Project. In a joyful burst of collaboration, 30 volunteers dedicated their time and talents to craft more than 80 handmade Valentine’s cards, bookmarks, charms, and bouquets for senior citizens. Each piece was thoughtfully created to spread warmth, kindness, and connection, proving that small acts of care can make a big impact. This collective effort not only brightened the days of the recipients but also reflected the compassion and generosity that define our community."

As a double alum of NLU, Lisa Downey has spent 16 years across three campuses and online being a valued member of our community.

"I always say...NLU is a great place to work AND go to school. I love NLU. I truly love it. I love our mission. I love the student-centered way we approach our work. I love the people I get to come to work with every day. I love that we are, collectively, a community that makes a difference every day. As a student, I learned skills and knowledge that I use in my work to transform the lives of early childhood educators and leaders every day. In my work, I've learned to lead, follow, and contribute at many levels. I believe in NLU the same way I believe in the power of education and community as a catalyst for change. While searching for her next chapter in life, Angie Jaral found National Louis University to help her with her next steps.

"When I found NLU, it turned out to be exactly what I needed. The transfer process was smooth, and the staff were incredibly supportive and met me where I was, which made a huge difference. Since coming to NLU, I’ve discovered my passion for digital marketing and writing. I’ve also been given so many opportunities to grow, including working as an intern at CNW and becoming a podcast producer. These experiences have helped me build confidence and figure out what I want my future to look like. NLU didn’t just give me a place to continue my education; it gave me direction, purpose, and a space to truly grow into myself."
