Located in the Student Lounge, Compton College’s food pantry provides essential food and hygiene items to support our students.

Compton College in the News: Compton College has a bold solution to support its students by implementing expectations to aid in their academic success; the plan will begin in the 2027-2028 academic year.

“Our [college] completion rates must improve, and not just at Compton College,” said Compton College President Keith Curry. “That means establishing clear institutional goals, helping students see and reach meaningful milestones, and holding ourselves accountable for providing the support they need to complete and succeed.

Starting in fall 2027, students need to meet a set of academic requirements to get free meals and other supports. College leaders say the move will increase completion rates. But basic needs experts are worried.

Compton College is in week 88 of construction of the college’s new 280-bed student housing facility, which has an $80.3 million budget fully funded by the state of California.

When completed in late summer 2027, Compton College will be the first California Community College in Los Angeles County to have student housing! We are so proud of this significant milestone!

It’s Farmers’ Market day at Compton College! Open to the public.

Great benefit for students: All currently enrolled students are eligible for a weekly $20 worth of vouchers to spend at the Farmers’ Market. Just visit the information table to pick up your vouchers.

The market is open every Wednesday from 3 to 7:30 p.m. in The Village; use the entrance from Artesia Blvd., near Parking Lot A.
