UNT Dallas College of Law closed out the Houston regional rounds of the National Moot Court Competition with strong results. Andrew Brown, Victoria B. Saucedo, and Hamilton Hayers advanced to the final round, earned second place, received Best Brief, and qualified for the national rounds in January. The National Moot Court Competition, hosted by the New York City Bar Association, is the longest-running competition of its kind.
They are the first UNT Dallas College of Law team to advance to the national rounds in this competition. The team competed against programs from across Texas, including SMU, Texas A&M, the University of Houston, St. Mary’s, and Baylor.
The UNT Dallas College of Law will also be represented at the national level in three areas of advocacy this January: the ABA Labor and Employment Mock Trial Competition, the ABA Negotiations Competition, and the National Moot Court Competition.
These results show the commitment our students bring to their advocacy training and the steady growth of opportunities in this area at the College of Law. Please join us in recognizing the team’s achievement.
