Please join me in congratulating LaShaundria Lawson (Assistant Director) for the DSA Supervisor of the Year award, and Steven Harris (Associate Director) for the Rodney Mitchell Eagle Spirit award. Both ODA staff members care so very deeply for our students, staff, and university. They are very deserving of the award. And, for those of us who knew Rodney, it is especially meaningful that Steven was selected for this award because there are so many similarities in the way they care for others and for UNT.

We are so proud to be part of the Division of Student Affairs as the entire room (hundreds of staff) ensured the applause was accessible in ASL!

After more than 10 years with us, Devin Axtman is heading to a new role as Associate Director at TWU in their Disability Services office.

Devin has been such an important part of UNT, always advocating so thoughtfully, professionally, and fiercely for students with disabilities. His care, dedication, and steady leadership have touched so many lives.

We are going to miss him so much, but we are also so excited for this next step. Thank you, Devin, for your many years of service and for all you have done for our students and our community. Please help us wish him well on his new journey! 💫

These are photos from Devin's farewell celebration, and CHECK OUT the awesome Congratulatory video in ASL and English.
