We are excited to offer a limited number of test fee e-vouchers for the New York State Teacher Certification Examinations (NYSTCE) for candidates enrolled in our educator preparation programs. 🎟️

Each e-voucher may be used for one test registration to cover the full registration fee for an eligible NYSTCE examination, up to a maximum value of $161.

If you are planning to take a NYSTCE Examination, you are invited to complete the 2026-2027 College of Education and Health Sciences: NYSTCE Request Voucher Form for an opportunity to receive a voucher.

The application deadline is Monday, November 2, 2026.

Voucher recipients will be chosen by lottery on November, 16, 2026.

All eligible students who submit a completed form by the deadline will be entered into the lottery.
Students selected to receive an e-voucher for a NYSTCE Examination will be notified by email after November 16, 2026.

*Because the number of vouchers is limited, submission of a request form does not guarantee that a student will receive a voucher.

Last Thursday, the Ruth S. Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences celebrated our Second-Year Master’s students in the Speech-Language Pathology program at their Pinning and White Coat Ceremony! 🥼

Congratulations to our esteemed students, and we wish good luck as you prepare for your individual externships. Thank you to President Balboni for giving an inspiring speech, along with Supervisor of Speech Services Kristin Testani, our student representative Olivia Skozlas, Graduate Program Director Bethany Frick-Semmler, and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Emily Kang. ✨

On October 2 Professor Fachantidis from the University of Macedonia, Greece, lectured at the Ruth Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences introducing the CSD community to the Daisy Robot in the SPE100-001 undergraduate class “The Speech and Hearing Profession.”✨

The Daisy Robot, a semi-autonomous flower-shaped social robot designed to help children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) develop communication and socialization skills, will be piloted in the CSD clinic in the HY Weinberg Center for Communication Disorders. 💛

Adelphi University and Springfield College Faculty and Graduate Students Present at SHAPE Delaware Conference!💪

Faculty and graduate students from Adelphi University and Springfield College were invited to deliver two professional development sessions at the 2026 SHAPE Delaware (Society of Health and Physical Educators) Annual State Physical Education Conference in Milford, Delaware Wednesday September 16th. The presentations translated research on how people learn into practical instructional strategies for K–12 physical education teachers. Sessions focused on designing effective task progressions and using repetition strategically to support learning across diverse skill levels. Activities included soccer, jumping, sitting volleyball, and handball.

The presentations highlight the institutions’ commitment to translating research into professional practice, preparing future scholars and educators, and engaging graduate students in meaningful professional experiences alongside faculty.
