89th American Criminal Justice Association's (ACJA-LAE) National Conference in Bloomington, Minnesota - FINAL AWARD WINNERS! 🏆

BSOL had the honor of being the host college for this year's National's with 8 current BSOL students, 7 BSOL alumni, and 1 BSOL guest in attendance! We took home a total of 10 awards!

2026 BSOL AWARD WINNERS:

Police Management Exam -

DAY 06 of the American Criminal Justice Association Conference (Friday) - Final day of the conference! The day began with the National Business Meeting, midday fun at the MOA, and ended with the Closing Awards Banquet. It was great to see all of our ACJA-LAE brothers and sisters again, new and old, and we look forward to next year's conference in Delaware!

DAY 05 of the American Criminal Justice Association Conference (Thursday) - We were honored to have Patty Wetterling and Jared Scheierl start our day by speaking about the heartbreaking case of Patty's son, Jacob Wetterling. Following Patty, the State of Minnesota Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives Office (MMIR) presented along with Dr. Amy Jaumam from DNA Doe Project, which uses genetic genealogy to identify human remains. It was such a powerful day that will forever impact how we view missing children and cold cases. A handful of BSOL ended the evening with a relaxing dinner at the hotel.

DAY 04 of the American Criminal Justice Association Conference (Wednesday) - Crime Scene Investigations (ran by the Hennepin County Crime Lab Unit) were today along with the Career Fair! The employers were so impressed by the ACJA students and their level of professionalism. The Lip Sync/Talent Competition followed and BSOL did their "Tight Pants" skit. We ended the evening by transporting all of the "bodies" back to my car.

DAY 03 of the American Criminal Justice Association Conference (Tuesday) - Academic testing day today! A handful of our BSOL (5 current students and 5 alumni) celebrated the completion of their 7 hours of exams by going out to dinner! Following dinner, we transported the "bodies" to the hotel for Wednesday's Crime Scene Investigation.

DAY 02 of the American Criminal Justice Association Conference (Monday) - The day started with a 7am Fi****ms Safety Meeting for the shooters, followed by the day at the HERO Center in Cottage Grove for Fi****ms and Physical Agilty Competitions! Then back to the conference hotel for Crime Scene Workshops with RCSO CSI Miles Kensler! The evening ended with Regional Caucus Meetings.

DAY 01 of the American Criminal Justice Association Conference (Sunday) - The morning began with the ACJA Executive Board meeting. In the afternoon, current and alumni BSOL worked the registration tables. We ended the evening with Icebreaker Bingo and the conference Opening Banquet, which included Star Member Recognition. We were joined by the Bloomington Police Department Honor Guard and HCSO Sheriff Dawanna Witt, who gave one of the best opening addresses we've ever had at a conference! Following the banquet, we concluded with Minnesota Bingo, gifting all of the winners with MN souvenirs!

The ACJA-LAE National Conference is just around the corner! Spent the afternoon at the conference hotel with BSOL Alumni Cori, and professionals Mike and Mark from Illinois, getting things ready for tomorrow!
