Always online, never remote!

We had a wonderful time in South Florida! ๐Ÿ๏ธ Our Gratz community of students, faculty, alumni, and even prospective students shared a lively conversation about our unique strengths and where the College is headed in the future. It was a wonderfully warm night by the pool, followed by friendship and shared stories.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. The photos below include Sandra Lilienthal, Zev Eleff, Leslie Ginsparg Klein, Lauren Beth Marks, and many other Gratz fans.

Where should our next Gratz gathering take place? We're taking suggestions in the comments. โœˆ๏ธ

Anyone go to Gratz with David Ferleger? He would have been at the Hebrew High School in the early-mid 60s.

February is Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion Month. We are proud to highlight recent Master of Jewish Studies alumnus and attorney David Ferleger. ๐Ÿ‘

Ferleger is a two-time Gratz fan. He graduated from Gratz Hebrew High School as a youngster and then later returned as an applicant to the Master's of Jewish Studies program. Thirty years and a lifetime later, he finished his degree.

In this Philadelphia Jewish Exponent article, he talks about a full circle moment in regards to his interest in disability rights as both a law school student and his Master's degree thesis:

โ€œMy senior paper in law school was on the rights of people with disabilities, and Gratz college is now awarding me my masterโ€™s degree with regard to a paper on the rights of people in a synagogue context who have accommodations when they have disabilities,โ€ Ferleger said. โ€œItโ€™s kind of ironic that I graduated from law school, like, 50 years ago and won an award and published a paper on the rights of people with disabilities, and it turned out that my thesis for my masters degree was on accommodations for people with disabilities.โ€
