Saint Francis, our brother, you who eight hundred years ago went to meet Sister Death as a man at peace, intercede for us before the Lord.

You recognized true peace in the Crucifix of San Damiano, teach us to seek in Him the source of all reconciliation that breaks down every wall.

You who, unarmed, crossed the lines of war and misunderstanding, give us the courage to build bridges where the world raises up boundaries.

In this time afflicted by conflict and division, intercede for us so that we may become peacemakers: unarmed and disarming witnesses of the peace that comes from Christ.

Comfort the families who still carry the weight of absence. May they feel the warmth of "Brother Sun" upon their grief and the gentle consolation of Your Spirit.

Eternal Rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

Good and gracious God, we express our deep gratitude for our mothers, Even as You entered our world and became human through a woman, empower all mothers with courage for the unpredictabilities of parenting.
Grant them resilience and love in their motherhood, supported by their families and friends, as they nurture their children's growth. Let them find joy in their children and wisdom to seek Your guidance in their moments of need.
Fill their hearts with peace and all that is good. We also pray for comfort and support for those who find this day difficult—those who have lost their mothers, those yearning to be mothers, and those who have strained relationships.
Surround them with Your love and peace, providing comfort in their hearts.
May today be a reflection of the joy and beauty they bring into our lives. We thank You for the gift of motherhood, the endless sacrifices made, and the unconditional love given. We ask these blessings in Your holy name, Amen.
