As artificial intelligence transforms the legal profession, P(AI)R for Lawyering prepares students to use AI responsibly, pairing practical AI fluency with the ethical judgment, critical thinking, and professional responsibility that define exceptional lawyers.

This national recognition reflects our commitment to preparing future lawyers to lead with purpose, integrity, and innovation.

The Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law equips students to navigate the intersection of law, business, innovation, and leadership. Through academic programming, professional development opportunities, mentorship, and a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, attorneys, and business leaders, the Palmer Center helps prepare students for success across a wide range of legal and business careers.

For students interested in taking a deeper role in the Center, applications for the Palmer Center Fellowship Program are now open to rising 2Ls. Fellows serve as student leaders within the Palmer Center community while pursuing the Entrepreneurship and the Law Certificate.

On the morning of May 20, graduating JD students gathered in the atrium for the annual 3L Breakfast, a special time of reflection and celebration before commencement. The program featured remarks from Dean of Students Naomi Goodno, , and Professor Michael Helfand as the community honored the achievements of the Class of 2026.

During the celebration, alumnus Charlie Walker (JD ’15), general counsel for Graham Healthcare Group and member of Pepperdine University’s Board of Regents, was recognized as the 2026 Young Distinguished Alumnus. Graduates were also celebrated for their academic and advocacy accomplishments.

Today was a momentous day as we celebrated the Pepperdine Caruso Law Class of 2026. Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and mentors, our graduates marked the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and purpose. 🌊

As Distinguished Alumnus Thomas Fessler shared during commencement, Pepperdine Caruso Law graduates carry forward the values and mission of this community as they step into the next chapter of their careers.

On April 30, the Pepperdine Caruso Law community gathered for the 12th Annual Parris Institute Awards Ceremony, one of our most meaningful traditions of the year. Together, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families celebrated individuals whose leadership, professionalism, character, service, and commitment to others have left a lasting impact on our community.
From recognizing exceptional student advocates and servant leaders to honoring faculty, staff, and alumni who embody the values of Caruso Law, the afternoon was a powerful reminder of the kind of legal community we strive to cultivate.
