Tonight, the 9/11 Community Mosaic Mural was officially unveiled at Gander International Airport.

More than 600 residents and businesses took part in creating the mural, with hundreds of individual tiles coming together to tell a larger story of kindness, connection and community.

The Town of Gander was pleased to partner with the International Lounge Foundation CYQX on this special project as we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11. ❤️

Twenty-five years later, families continue to entrust the 9/11 Memorial & Museum with deeply personal artifacts that help tell the stories of those who were lost.

A boarding pass carried aboard Flight 11. A pair of shoes worn on the morning of 9/11. The front piece of an FDNY helmet.

Each artifact offers a connection to a life, a family, and a story that deserves to be remembered.

The New York Post recently spoke with families who have continued to donate artifacts to the Museum and explored why they have chosen to share these pieces of their loved ones with future generations.

Last week, we went over the dimensions and how to design buttons. This week? Printing them out and learning how to use the pin machine! Join us at 5:30 to finish up our Button Pin Workshops. If you email Ms. Crumbley your sheet of buttons, she will get them printed tomorrow for use on Sunday evening. If you are unable to do so, make sure to send it to the print shop on Friday if you'd like it in color!

PSA: If you are choosing between this and dinner... choose both and bring your dinner to the workshops!

For the next two weeks, Ms. Crumbley will be teaching you how to make a Button Pin! We have all the tools you'll need to make them. However, it's easiest if you bring your own computer this week to design a button you'd want to print for next week. We can print these off at the print shop to cut and make on the 23rd.
