The noncredit ESL program provides seven levels of ESL at the Community Learning Center during morning, afternoon and evening hours. The program also offers Vocational ESL, conversation classes, open-entry distance learning, citizenship, computer-based study, and Saturday classes. Classes are also offered at Encinitas Library, Melba Bishop Recreation Center in Oceanside, and La Colonia Community Center in Solana Beach.

Current or former Community Learning Center (CLC) noncredit students may be eligible for a CLC Scholarship to support their transition to MiraCosta College credit programs.

To be awarded a CLC scholarship, students must:
Have a MiraCosta College Credit Application for Admission on file by April 27, 2026
Plan to attend MiraCosta College credit classes in Fall 2026
Be enrolled or have been enrolled in CLC classes during Summer 2025, Fall 2025, or Spring 2026

3️⃣ Log in with your SURF ID and password.
4️⃣ Click “APPLY” and complete your scholarship application by April 27, 2026.
