Oklahoma City University softball short stop Analise Rayburn can slug it a long way. And she does so a lot.

With 22 home runs during the regular season and another four in the postseason to help propel the Stars to the Sooner Athletic Conference championship this year, Rayburn has been on a historic run during her career at OCU. She already has the second-most home runs (63) and third-most RBIs (249) in OCU softball history, and plans to return next season to add to her legacy as one of the greatest hitters to ever wear a Stars jersey.

To top it all off, she became the first NAIA player in history to have consecutive 100-RBI seasons this year and repeated as the SAC Player of the Year and NAIA first-team All-American and National Player of the Year. She was also honored as the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Softball Team Member of the Year.

Fresh on the heels of its recognition as an official Military Friendly School, Oklahoma City University is ramping up its efforts to support military learners with a series of new graduate tuition discounts.

University officials recently announced the Military and Federal Worker Discount.

The initiative provides qualifying active-duty military members, National Guard members, military reservists, military spouses and federal workers with significant tuition discounts on a variety of OCU graduate programs.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

That day became known as Juneteenth and is now recognized as a celebration of freedom and a commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States.

Today, Oklahoma City University joins communities across the country in recognizing and celebrating this important day in our nation's history. 🌟

Last week, Oklahoma City University's Meinders Simulation Center welcomed visitors from around the world as part of the INACSL26 Conference in Oklahoma City.

We are honored that the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning selected the Meinders Simulation Center as one of only two simulation centers featured on the conference tour.

This recognition highlights OCU's commitment to excellence in simulation education, interprofessional learning, and preparing future healthcare professionals through innovative, hands-on experiences.

With fewer than 1,500 fluent speakers remaining among the nearly half a million Cherokee people worldwide, preserving the Cherokee language has never been more important.

Through a partnership between Apple, the Cherokee Nation and Oklahoma City University, educators and students at the Cherokee Immersion School and nearby Sequoyah High School are using iPads and Macs to help ensure the language and culture thrive for future generations.
