🛑Stop by and visit our "Not All Disabilities Are Visible" Ghost Scarecrow. 👻

💙💛UToledo Disability Studies Program, Department of Theatre and Film, and OpenSpot Theatre present: 👻Halloween Spooktacular!🎃

Enjoy an evening of innovative, inclusive, and accessible theatre! See the debut of three original short plays created by UToledo students, community members with developmental disabilities, and theatre professionals from OpenSpot Theatre.

💡October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month!💼

The ADR office has an immersed Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) in our office. Tinola Mayfield-Guerrero, works within our office to provide a variety of services to help our students be career ready! 👻🎃 A Little Spooky, A BIG Message! 🎃👻
✨ October 18–24 is Invisible Disabilities Week! ✨

Our ghost scarecrow is making an appearance on Scarecrow Row, and it has an important message to share: Not all disabilities are visible! 💙

Just like a ghost, some disabilities may not be seen, but that doesn't make them any less real. 👻 Our scarecrow is here to remind everyone to lead with kindness, understanding, and inclusion because you never know what someone else may be experiencing.

Stop by Scarecrow Row in Centennial Mall to check out and vote for our spooky friend spreading awareness for invisible disabilities! 💙👻

Tonight at 6:00pm at Imagination Station they will be showing the film: The Disability Download: The Human Perspective! This film features our very own staff member- Sara Soper. Afterwards, Sara will be on the panel to answer questions from the audience about her own experiences. The event is free. Information on how to register is below.

💡 Accessibility Tip Tuesday! 💙💛

Have you requested your accommodations for classes yet? You still have time to request your accommodations in your Disability Accommodations Portal (DAP). Go to our website and click on the Student/Faculty Portal button in our main page picture and login with your UToledo credentials. Click on the courses you need accommodations for and memos will be sent to your professors.
