We are proud to recognize the UWF School of Nursing students for their outstanding work during Implementation Week.

Partnering with Health and Hope Clinic, Inc, the students supported individuals on the waiting list for the Food as Medicine program by collecting healthy food donations, creating food kits, and educating patients about nutrition and healthy eating practices.

Their project highlights the important connection between nutrition, prevention, and overall health while demonstrating the compassion and commitment our nursing students bring to serving the community.

We are grateful to Health & Hope Clinic for this meaningful partnership and proud of our students for their dedication to improving the health and well-being of others.

At the beginning of August, the UWF BSRT program welcomed our newest student cohort during New Student Orientation!

The day gave students an opportunity to meet their faculty and classmates, explore program resources, tour the Simulation Center, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

We are thrilled to welcome these future respiratory therapists and cannot wait to watch their knowledge, skills, and confidence grow. Their journey toward making a difference at the bedside starts now!

Welcome to the UWF BSRT family! 🫁🩺

POSITIVE PSYCH: Celebrating an Unsung Hero 💙

We’re proud to begin September’s Department of Psychology spotlight with this very special example of Positive Psych in action!

Students in a UWF psychology course are learning that gratitude, positivity and quality of life extend far beyond the classroom.

For their class project, two Psychology students chose to recognize an “unsung hero”—the wonderful team member who cares for Building 41. They invited her family and coworkers to help surprise her with cake, coffee and a heartfelt celebration of the positive difference she makes each day.

This thoughtful project offered a meaningful reminder: expressing gratitude can strengthen relationships, build community and help others feel seen and appreciated.

🌴🌺 Dancing in Paradise! 🌺🌴

Our Nursing Population Health students made Implementation Day extra special by partnering with Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Pace, FL, to provide free sandwiches and smoothies.

Students also brought their research-based Community Impact Project, “Dancing in Paradise,” to the Capstone Adaptive Learning and Therapy Center. They hosted a luau to educate residents and provide activities focused on promoting self-esteem and self-expression.

We’re proud of our students for putting their knowledge into action and creating a fun, meaningful experience for members of our community! 💙🥤🌺

We are proud to recognize UWF nursing students for their outstanding work during Implementation Week.

Partnering with Capstone Adaptive Learning and Therapy Centers, Inc, the students designed and created a sensory garden and spent implementation day building bird feeders with program participants. Together, they created a space that promotes sensory engagement, connection with nature, and enjoyment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This project reflects the compassion, creativity, and dedication our nursing students bring to serving others. We are grateful to Capstone TEC for partnering with us to provide this meaningful learning experience and proud of our students for making a lasting impact in the community.
