There are so many stories in the Qur’an we simply don’t know.

Not because they’re not there… but because we were never taught to understand them.

Many of us memorised surahs as children. We can recite them. We recognise them.
But if someone asked us the story behind them… we would struggle to answer.

Take Surah Al Fil.

A surah we’ve known for years. But how many of us truly understand its context, its history, and its connection to the Kaaba?

Especially now, in the days of Hajj, when we’re seeing images of the Kaaba everywhere… do we really know its story?

The Prophet (saw) said, ‘The day of Arafat, the day of sacrifice, and the three following days of al-Tashriq are celebrations for the people of Islam. They are days of eating and drinking’. [Tirmidhi]

The Day of Arafah is not just another day. It is the day.

The day Allah frees more people from the Hellfire than any other. The day your du’as are not just heard, but accepted.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best du’a is the du’a on the Day of Arafah.” [Tirmidhi]

This is your moment.

Not tomorrow. Not later. Today.

Call upon Allah with everything in your heart. Your sins, your struggles, your dreams, your fears. Nothing is too big. Nothing is too small.

Raise your hands and ask.

Ask for forgiveness.

Ask for guidance.

Ask for Jannah.

Because on this day… Allah responds.

The Day of Arafah is a gift from Allah.

A day where sins are forgiven. Du’as are answered. Hearts are softened. And countless people are freed from the Hellfire.

But so many of us let the day pass like any other.

Don’t waste these hours.

Fast if you can. Make constant du’a. Remember Allah. Ask for everything, your akhirah, your family, your future, your forgiveness.

Because this could be the day that changes everything for you.

Hajj is not complete without Arafah.

It is the most critical moment. The moment where everything comes down to one thing… standing before Allah and asking.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Hajj is Arafah.” [Tirmidhi]

Miss this, and Hajj is not Hajj.

This is the day where sins are wiped, du’as are accepted, and hearts are completely humbled before their Lord. Hours that can change your entire akhirah.

So whether you are there or not, don’t let this day pass without turning back to Allah.

Most of us enter and leave the masjid every week.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us specific supplications for entering and exiting the masjid, simple words filled with reward, mercy, and remembrance of Allah.
